Congratulations to FFA members who received pins, awards, and recognition at the annual Parent-Member Banquet held on April 12 in the gym. We had over 200 attendees. The evening consisted of a potluck meal with meat from the Madison County Pork Producers, awards, video presentation, raffle, and door prizes. A special to thanks to Ms. Harle who received her Honorary Degree.

The O-M FFA Chapter hosted several activities for FFA Week including a junior high and high school BAGS Tournament, Elementary Coloring Contest, and "Kiss A Pig" fundraiser. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you everyone for participating.

The 2013 O-M Classic Youth Sheep and Swine Show is officially on! The show date will be Saturday, June 1st, 2013 at the Adair County Fairgrounds. We are excited to announce the addition of a goat show to our lineup and a partnership with Guthrie Center FFA who will be hosting a show on Sunday, June 2nd.

Eleven freshman O-M FFA members traveled to the Iowa Pork Congress in Des Moines to compete in the annual livestock judging contest. Congratulations to Blake Eddy, Joey Huntington, Jesse Johnson, and Amber Rinke who placed 8th as a team out of 131 teams. Blake was the 25th individual and Jesse was 34th (511 total participants). It was a fun day of learning about pigs!

Just back from the 85th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN.
O-M FFA members had a great time at the event!
Activities included tours at John Deere Works (Moline, IL), Keystone Steel & Wire
(Peoria, IL), NCAA Hall of Champions, FFA Career Show and Expo,
Indianapois 500 Motor Speedway, and Fair Oaks Dairy (Fair Oaks, IN).
Members also participated in the Go-Ape Treetop Adventure where they climbed trees,
completed 29 tree to tree crossings, 5 ziplines, and 2 tarzan swings.
So much fun! The group also got to check out the Brantley Gilbert / Band Perry
Concert and Opening Session featuring Scott Hamilton.
Can't wait for the 86th Convention next year in Louisville, KY!
